Quick Guide to Install Visitor Edge on WordPress
Step 1: Download the Plugin
Download the WordPress Plugin: Click on the Download WordPress Plugin button available in the "Website Setup" tab. This will download the Visitor Edge plugin zip file to your computer.
Step 2: Access Your WordPress Website
Log In to Your WordPress Admin Dashboard: Open your web browser, go to your WordPress website, and log in to your admin panel.
Step 3: Install the Plugin
Navigate to Plugins: From the left-hand menu, hover over "Plugins" and click on Add New.
Upload Plugin: On the "Add Plugins" page, click on the Upload Plugin button, usually located at the top of the page.
Select the Zip File: Click on Choose File and locate the Visitor Edge plugin zip file you downloaded earlier. Select the file.
Install the Plugin: Once the file is selected, click the Install Now button to begin the installation process.
Step 4: Connect the Plugin
Enter the Tag Domain URL: You will need to grab two things here, your CNAME record and your root domain. e.g. qdwqf.yoursite.com
and followed by your root domain e.g. yoursite.com. Goes all together in one line.
In your Wordpress, you will need to enter both of these values in the "Visitor EdgeTag URL" field.
Step 5: Save & wait a bit..
Save: MOST IMPORTANT! Make sure to Save at the bottom of the page after entering your URL.
Page View Event: After installation, allow a few minutes for the traffic to come to your website, and click on "Verify Installation" ensure to track the “Page View” event first in your Visitor Edge Dashboard.
