Creating a Lookalike Audience

Learn to create lookalike audiences to expand your reach by targeting users similar to your existing customers.

Please follow the steps below to start creating Lookalike Audiences for your website.

1. Log in to Cartmail:
   • Access your Cartmail account using your credentials.
2. Navigate to Audiences Section:
   • Locate and click on the “Audiences” section in the main menu of your Cartmail dashboard.
3. Initiate Lookalike Audience Creation:
   • Click on “Create Site Audience” and choose “Create Lookalike Audience” from the dropdown menu to begin the process.
4. Select Core Audiences for Lookalike Audience:
   • Choose up to 5 Core Audiences as the basis for your Lookalike Audience.
   • The combined Core Audience size must reach a minimum of 1,000 visitors. This ensures a more accurate and effective Lookalike Audience with similar interests and behaviors.
5. Customize Lookalike Audience Parameters:
   • Define and refine the parameters of your Lookalike Audience to align with your campaign goals and target audience specifics.
6. Initiate Creation Process:
   • Click on “Save & Create” to kickstart the generation of your Lookalike Audience.
   • The system will then begin processing and analyzing the selected Core Audiences to create a relevant Lookalike Audience.
7. Wait for Processing:
   • It may take a few hours for the Lookalike Audience to be fully processed and prepared for activation. You will be notified via email once it is ready!
8. Sync with Meta for Activation:
   • Once the Lookalike Audience is ready, you can proceed to synchronize it with Meta (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) for activating targeted advertising campaigns.
